The 2014 Forbes Billionaires list is out and there's a whole new line up of business women that have ranked highly.  42 of the 268 newcomers are billionaire women. That brings the total number of women to 172.
Forbes counts 1,645 billionaires in the world. From what we can see, less than a handful of Black women made the list including: Oprah $2.9B, Angola's Isabel dos Santos $3.7B, and Nigeria's Folorunsho Alakija $2.5B.

In “Janet Jackson: Beyond the Velvet Rope” in Variety by Andrew Barker it was revealed that Janet Jackson is now a billion dollar performer. However, many news organizations took this to mean that Janet Jackson is a billionaire, which in fact she is not.
